COMPANY POLICY
YANMI UNIQUE SCHOOL
as an academic institution strongly believes in Discipline, Respect for Moral Values,
Organisational Culture and Selflessness as key ingredients to EXCELLENCE.
In view of the afore stated, below
is our organisational policy;
- Respect for Authority: all staff must
respect the decision made by the school authorities and such should in no way
affect their effective discharge of duties.
- Improvement of Standards: upon review
of the school standard vis-à-vis its environment, the quest for excellence and
uniqueness should be the primitive concern of all employees via improving the
academic and extra-curricular standards
- Punctuality And The Right Attitude To Task:
all staff should report to their duties as at when due. Positive attitude to
work is been also a non-negotiable requirement to work with us.
- Effective Classroom Management: All
classes must be properly managed during academic and non-academic activities.
Classroom Cleanliness, maintaining a Noise-free academic environment, and good students’
coordination are essentials of an effective classroom management processes.
- Appropriate Learning Methods: academic
staff should ensure that appropriate learning method is been implemented to
achieve a learner-centered teaching
process. Instructional materials should be used when necessary.
- Staff Obligations: I shall abide with
tasks assigned to me without delay with the positive attitude. I will abide to
the organisational policy and standards, as well as punitive measures meted out
to me in case of any breach.
- I shall be willing and ready to work
- I shall obey orders and will not
disrupt the employer’s undertaking
- I
shall complete and submit my weekly Lesson plan on the subject(s) assigned and
co-operate fully with the management.
- I shall maintain a working and
professional classroom management
- I shall monitor students effectively
- I shall be in class as at when due
- Respect employer’s trade secrets
- I shall render EXCLUSIVE service in
honour of my compensation.
- I
shall attend meetings, training sessions, and school activities organised by
the school management
- I
shall liable in cases of damages caused by me or through me on the organisation
properties and assets.
- Staff Performance and Organisational Review:
There will be a periodic audit of the school policy from time to time. Staff (Academic
and Non-Academic) will be assessed periodically. This assessment could come
inform of a written test, observation of attitude to task assigned, lesson
notes, and other measures based on management prerogative.
- Staff Training Policy:
We encourage staff trainings via on-the-job or off-the-job approaches as
applicable. The decision and need for such training will be based on management
prerogative and staff’s performance.
- Effective Returns on Investment (ROI)/Target
Acquisition: as an employee, there are expectations that should be met by
you in enhancing the image of the organisation. These targets are; classroom
activities, extra-curricular activities such as publicity and organisation of
school programs and initiatives, and introducing new students (clients) to the
school. Other tasks would be assigned based on management prerogative.
We strongly believe in a good and
balanced compensation system. Every positive and tangible input deserves
compensation. Our compensation system will therefore be Base Pay (Salary), plus
Variable Pay (Reward/Bonus) to also encourage staff to work more fervently in
meeting targeted goals. Variable Pay is strictly and solely the decision of the
Management.
- Organisational DISCIPLINE: the hallmark
of success is entrenched in discipline. We believe as teachers, we are leaders
and must impart our disciplinary traits into our students, parents and clients.
It is therefore expected that our staff posit the right kind of attitude to
work, colleagues, students and management. Also, discipline with respect to
dressing, timeliness and character shall be upheld.
- Principle of Fair Hearing (Audi Alterem Partum):
As an organisation with the onus of integrity, natural justice and fairness, we
are open to fair hearing, so therefore staff could formally write and advise
management on matters as necessary, although the ultimate decision lies with
the management.
However,
Punitive Measures in form of; redundancy,
salary reduction, query, resignation notice and termination of employment
will be taken depending on the issue at hand by the management.
It is our desire that our staff
works as partners (rather than salary earners) of progress by contributing
their quota to the attainment of EXCELLENCE.
